Game 12 - South Dakota State (8-3) at Washington State (7-2) |
The Jackrabbits aim for their second win over a Pac-12 program, as SDSU meets Washington State on a neutral floor in Spokane, Wash.
Douglas Wilson joined SDSU's 1,000-point club last week. He now has 1,020 points in his Jackrabbit career, which ranks 43rd. He scored 1,138 points in two years at Kirkwood Community College, giving him an overall total of 2,158 points.Â
The Jackrabbit offense has been excellent this season. SDSU leads the nation in three-point shooting at 44.5 percent, while shooting 50.9 percent overall, ninth best in Division I.
SDSU ranks third nationally in scoring at 90.5 points per game. The Jacks have scored 90 points in five games and have hit the 80-point mark in ten of 11 outings.
Noah Freidel ranks 15th nationally in three-pointers per game (3.6) and is 29th in points per game (19.8).
Sharing the basketball has been a key to the Jackrabbits' success. SDSU's dishing out 17.4 assists per game, the 20th most in Division I. Â The Jacks have recorded 20 assists in four different games this season.
Wilson is nationally ranked in multiple categories. He's ninth in free throws attempted (64) and 17th in offensive rebounds, averaging 3.45 per game.
Baylor Scheierman posted his fifth double-double of the year Wednesday, the ninth most in the country. A huge reason why is his knack for corralling rebounds. His 8.82 defensive boards per game are the fourth most in the nation, while his overall average of 9.3 rebounds is the best in the Summit League.
SDSU committed only four turnovers Wednesday at Idaho. That's the fewest since the Jacks turned it over four times in an 82-62 win over Western Illinois on Feb. 17, 2018 in Frost Arena.
