The Jacks evened the score in the bottom of the seventh. The first three batters of the inning reached base safely to load the bases, and Owen Bishop's fielder's choice brought in the run. After in Omaha pitching change, two flyouts ended the inning and stranded two runners on base.
Omaha took a 2-1 lead on another Esposito hit, this time an RBI single up the middle, but reliever Eli Sundquist was able to leave the runner at third to end the inning. The Mavericks set the Jackrabbit offense down in order in the final two innings to secure the win.
Adam Mazur fell to 2-4 on the season despite a seven-inning, 11-strikeout performance. Sundquist struck out three batters in two innings of relief.
The Jacks were held to just four hits, which included one extra-base hit on Drew Beazley's fifth-inning double.

Omaha capitalized on an SDSU error in the first inning with two consecutive hits to take a 1-0 lead. Two more runs followed in the second inning as Masen Prososki's single to right field scored two to stretch Omaha's lead to 3-0. Drew Beazley's RBI double, followed by Garrett Stout's run-scoring single in the bottom of the second trimmed the Maverick lead to 3-2.
Omaha added two more runs in the top of the fifth on an RBI single and bases-loaded walk to make it 5-2.
An RBI single by Brett Bonar and a two-run home run by Ryan Doran put the Mavericks up 8-2 in the top of the sixth.

The second wild pitch of the inning scored Wyatt Andersen to trim State's deficit to 9-4. Each team scored a run in the ninth inning, but Omaha's lead was enough to get the win.
Cody Carlson tossed four and 1/3 innings, struck out five batters, walked four and allowed three earned runs. Luke Ira went 3-for-3 with three hits, a walk and an RBI double in the ninth. Max, Beazley and Stout each drove in a run on one hit.
