SIOUX FALLS— Trevor Begeman was named Summit League co-men's field athlete of the week as announced by the league office Tuesday.
The Selby, S.D. native earned his first career outdoor athlete of the week accolade after notching a personal-best throw of 61-09.00 (18.82m) to win the shot put at Saturday's Sioux City Relays. With his mark, Begeman sits atop of SDSU's all-time list, passing Mason Leiseth's previous top mark of 58-00.25 from 2018. His previous personal best was 57-05.75.
The Jackrabbits head to Vermillion for the USD Twilight meet tonight.
