For the fifth year in a row, the Jackrabbit Athletic Scholarship Auction hit the $1 million mark.
This year's event, held for the first time at the Sanford-Jackrabbit Athletic Complex on May 22, raised $1,074, 000. That figure includes a 2-to-1 match from an anonymous donor.
"The auction caps what has been an incredibly successful year for Jackrabbit Athletics," SDSU Director of Athletics Justin Sell said. "To be able to raise that amount of money in one night speaks to the excitement around our program and puts us in a great position to continue to compete for championships in the years ahead."
The event, which featured both in-person and virtual components, featured more than 300 items up for bid between silent and live auctions.
