JACKRABBITS RECORD PR-FILLED FRIDAY

VERMILLION— Several South Dakota State athletes turned in season and career-best times and added their names to SDSU's top-10 lists Friday at the South Dakota Tune-Up.
Annie Wendt jumped a PR of 19-11.00 in the women's long jump for SDSU's second-best mark ever. Behind her, Jaiden Boomsma jumped a 19-00.00 and ties for fifth all-time at State.
Haley Mottinger finished first in the women's 100m hurdles with a 14.03 clocking which still stands as the third-fastest time in program history. Also recording personal-best times in the 100m hurdles were Savannah Risseeuw who ran a 14.43 for a PR and holds down her spot as 10th in State's record books, while Katelyn Darnell (15.22) and Sydney Leidholt (15.61) also clocked PRs in the event. Later, Mottinger recorded another personal best in the 200m dash with a 25.55.
Oksana Covey ran a 2:07.78 for second in the women's 800, while Ellie Friesen finished third with a 2:09.70 for a new PR and the fifth-fastest mark in program history.
In the throws ring, Faith Leiseth launched a PR of 165-03.25 for first in the women's discus and recorded the fifth-best mark in program history. Behind her, Alexis Schmidt finished third with a 158-06.75, good enough for eighth all-time.
The Jackrabbits had a field day with PRs in the 1500. Nicole Greyer was State's top finisher in the women's race where she turned in a new PR of 4:49.21 for ninth place, Megan Sievers recorded a PR with a 5:13.92 and Hannah Nelson did the same with a 5:14.69.
In the men's race, Joshua Yeager was is in a race of his own as he ran a PR in of 3:49.49 for first after gapping the pack early and never looking back. Michael Schwinghamer clocked a PR with a 3:57.10 and Nathan Notgrass turned in a PR of 4:05.05 in the 1500!Â

The Jacks are back in Vermillion May 13-15 for the Summit League Outdoor Track and Field Championships.

- Pierre Lear finished second in the 110m hurdles with a 14.81 and Nick Wessels took third with a 14.82.
- Collette Wolfe took first in the women's 100m dash with a 11.95 and Madelyn Sanda was next with a 12.20 for sixth.
- Noah Strako was the first finisher for the men in the 100m dash. He took 10th with a 11.25.
- Lukas Nelson finished seventh in the men's 800 with a 1:53.77 clocking.
- Savannah Risseeuw ran a 1:04.50 for sixth in the women's 400m hurdles.
- Cameron Kuil clocked a 21.78 for a PR and sixth in the men's 200.
- Bridget Henne finished eighth with a 18:51.47 in the women's 5K.
- Nathan Notgrass ran a PR of 15:57.36 in the men's 5K for second place.
- The SDSU 4x400 of Tori Glazier, Jaide Geurts, Jessica Christoffer and Harley Fischer finished sixth with a 4:03.74 clocking.
- Matthew Katz cleared 15-07.50 for fourth in the men's pole vault.
- Addison Eisenbeisz and Madison Kizer both jump 5-04.75 in the women's high jump.
- Trevor Begeman threw a 58-11.25 in the men's shot put for first place! Tyson Jenkins follows right behind with a 57-03.00 for second.
- Emma Smith finished sixth overall in the women's triple jump with a 35-02.50 marking.
- Russell Pierzinski recorded a 43-09.25 in the men's triple jump for sixth place.
- Noah Huber took fifth in the men's discus with a 168-01.00 while Austin Eppard took seventh with a 165-09.50.
The Jacks are back in Vermillion May 13-15 for the Summit League Outdoor Track and Field Championships.
