9/3/2021 10:55:00 AM | General
As South Dakota State University welcomes students back to campus, it also is preparing for Jacks Bash 2, headlined by Grammy-Award winning Zac Brown Band who recently played to a sold-out Fenway Park in Boston, Mass. Additional artists include Fall Out Boy, who has been selling out Major League Baseball Stadiums all summer, and Academy of Country Music's New Female Artist of the Year Gabby Barrett. The event is slated for Wednesday, Sept. 8, 2021, at SDSU's Dana J. Dykhouse Stadium.
Jacks Bash 2 will mark exactly five years since Dana J. Dykhouse Stadium opened its doors on campus. At that time, a large celebration called Jacks Bash was held to commemorate the historic event, which was headlined by Luke Bryan.
Greenway / Leber Announced as Hosts
Joining the campus concert event are former NFL stars Chad Greenway and Ben Leber who will share hosting duties for the celebration. Both Greenway and Leber are SD natives who achieved success as players for the Minnesota Vikings.
Finale Pyro Show
At the conclusion of Zac Brown Band's set, guests will be treated to a one-of-a-kind pyro techniques finale, capping off the historic concert celebration. The finale will be produced by Pyrotecnico, which is one the premier special effects and fireworks display companies in the world. Pyrotecnico recently produced the pyrotechnics show at the halftime of Super Bowl 55 in Tampa Bay.
Fans will be treated to additional surprises and memorable moments throughout event.
