After having its scheduled weekend dual at Utah Valley called off, the South Dakota State wrestling team will instead head east to the Virginia Duals.
The Jackrabbits were added late Thursday to the tournament field and are scheduled to wrestle twice Saturday afternoon. SDSU is slated to meet Chattanooga at 2 p.m. Eastern Time (1 p.m. Central), which will be immediately followed by a matchup against Maryland. Both duals will be contested at the Hampton Coliseum in Hampton, Virginia, and will be available for viewing through FloWrestling.org (subscription required).
The Big 12 Conference dual at Utah Valley was postponed due to COVID-related health and safety protocols within the Wolverines' program. No makeup date has been determined.
South Dakota State enters the week ranked 24th in the latest NWCA Division I Coaches Poll and holds a 5-1 overall dual record,. The Jackrabbits also are ranked third in the first NWCA Division I Mid-Major Wrestling Coaches Poll of the season.
