South Dakota State has started Summit League play 8-0 for the first time in program history.
SDSU has won 13 straight at Frost Arena, the 7th longest active home court win streak in Division I. The Jacks have won 68 of the last 70 at home.
The Jacks lead the nation in three-point shooting at 46.0 percent. SDSU's 10.3 triples per game is 13th in the country.
Overall, SDSU is shooting 52.6 percent, which ranks second to Gonzaga (53.9) in Division I.
The Jacks are averaging 88.0 points per game, the second best in Division I. SDSU has scored 90 points ten times, including each of the last three games. The Jacks have hit the 80-point mark in all nine league games and 18 of 21 total.
Douglas Wilson has 1,166 points in his Jackrabbit career, which ranks 29th all-time. He scored 1,138 points in two years at Kirkwood Community College, giving him an overall total of 2,304 points.
The Jackrabbits are fourth nationally in free throws made (329) and 12th in attempts (432).
In conference play,
Baylor Scheierman leads the Summit League in field goal percentage (.590), three-point percentage (.605) and assists (4.8). He's also second in rebounding (8.1) and steals (1.7) and sixth in points per game (17.0)Â
Four times this season, the Jacks have dished out 24 or more assists in a game. Entering the 2021-22 campaign, SDSU had only two games with 24 assists in its first 17 seasons of D1 hoops.
The Jacks have scored over 50 points in the second half of each of the last three agmes.
