DAVIS, Calif. — South Dakota State and Georgia wrapped up their equestrian head-to-head competition Saturday at the UC Davis Equestrian Center with the fourth-ranked Bulldogs coming away with a 13-3 victory.

After the Jackrabbits' Shelby Cochran put SDSU on the board with a point in horsemanship in the first half of the competition on Friday, SDSU picked up two more points in reining on Saturday. Isabelle Riggs won her matchup with a score of 71, while Cassandra Townsend closed the meet with a point-producing score of 72.5.

Three of SDSU's four riders in fences posted scores of 80 or higher, but the Jackrabbits were swept in the event as their Georgia counterparts responded with resepective scores of 84, 85 and 87. Kate Koehl led the Jackrabbits with a score of 82, followed by Samantha Hunsecker with an 81 and Hannah Steele with an 80.

The Jackrabbits dropped to 1-2 in head-to-head competitions this season.
