LAS CRUCES, N.M. - The South Dakota State women's golf team wrapped up the Golf Iconic Classic in 13th place Wednesday at the NMSU Golf Course. McKenzie Mages finished in a tie for 42nd place to lead the Jackrabbits.
Mages shot a 73 (+1) with two birdies in the final round, the best 18 holes of the tournament among the Jackrabbits. The freshman tallied a 225 (+9) final scorecard, her best of the season.
Alex Kandolin and Tatum Depuydt finished three shots behind Mages in a tie for 49th place. Depuydt recorded a 74 (+2) Wednesday while Kandolin ended the day with a 79 (+7). The duo had matching 228 (+12) final scorecards.
Piper Stubbs finished in a tie for 54th place with a 229 (+13). Shakira-Ann Kuys tied for 67th with a 236 (+20).
The squad recorded a 907 (+43) team score, its best final tally of the season.
Pepperdine won the team title with a 5-under-par 859. Oral Roberts' Sarah Bell earned individual medalist honors (208, -8).
NOTES
In addition to Mages, Depuydt and Stubbs also recorded their best scores of the season.

The Jackrabbits compete in their final tournament of the fall season October 21-23 in Paradise Island, Bahamas. SDSU will play the Ocean Club Golf Course as part of the White Sand Bahamas NCAA Women's Invitational hosted by Little Rock.
