LEAR AGAIN RECOGNIZED BY SUMMIT

SIOUX FALLS, SD—Pierre Lear has earned his second straight TicketSmarter Summit League Men's Track Peak Performer of the Week honor, league officials announced on Tuesday.
Lear again broke his own school record in the 60-meter hurdles, this time crossing the finish line in 7.91 seconds to win the event at the Ice Breaker Open & Multi. He also competed in the 200-meter dash, where he clocked a personal best time of 22.83 for ninth place.
According to the league, his 60-meter hurdle time now ranks 10th in the NCAA.
This is his second career weekly honor from the Summit League.
SDSU's track and field teams return to action on Jan. 14 at the NDSU Bison Team Cup in Fargo, N.D.
