South Dakota State returns home to host Kansas City in a three-game Summit League series Friday and Saturday. SDSU is 26-10 (7-2 Summit) on the season while Kansas City is 8-26 (4-4 Summit).
SDSU is coming off an 8-9 eight-inning loss at Minnesota Wednesday. After taking an 8-3 lead over the Gophers the Jacks gave up six unanswered runs, including a walk-off homer.
Prior to the Minnesota the loss, the Jackrabbits most recently swept Western Illinois at home last weekend, outscoring the Leathernecks 26-0 in three run-rule victories.
South Dakota State leads the Summit League in batting average (.319), ERA (1.04), home runs (19), on-base percentage (.430) and slugging percentage (.600).
Rozelyn Carrillo is batting .464 in conference games, which leads the conference. She also leads the league in hits (13) and RBIs (13).
Allison Yoder is batting .412, ranking fourth.
SDSU's pitching staff is holding opponents to a .217 batting average, which ranks second among Summit League teams.
Tori Kniesche ranks second in the league in strikeouts with 155 and in ERA at 1.78.
Grace Glanzer's 13 wins lead the league and her 2.34 ERA ranks fourth.

- The Jackrabbits are 28-3 in Summit League games over the past two seasons.
- Prior to its loss at Minnesota Wednesday SDSU was coming off a 3-0 weekend against Western Illinois in which the Jacks outscored the Leathernecks 26-0 over three games.
