South Dakota State returns to Brookings for the final two weekends of the regular season. The Jackrabbits will host St. Thomas Thursday and Friday in a three-game series before wrapping up their conference games with North Dakota next weekend.
SDSU is 31-10 (12-2 Summit) on the season while St. Thomas is 12-30 (7-8 Summit).
The Jackrabbits are coming off a 2-0 weekend at North Dakota State. The final game of the series was canceled due to weather. The SDSU offense exploded for eight runs in extra innings to take game one of the series, then scored eight between the sixth and seventh of game two to move to 2-0 on the weekend.
South Dakota State leads the Summit League in ERA (0.85), home runs (25), on-base percentage (.404) and slugging percentage (.553).
Rozelyn Carrillo is batting .479 in conference games, which ranks second behind St. Thomas' Brooke Ellestad (.514). Carrillo leads the league in hits (23) and RBIs (20).
Allison Yoder is batting .417, ranking fourth. SDSU's pitching staff is holding opponents to a .164 batting average, which ranks first among Summit League teams.
Grace Glanzer is 8-0 in conference games and has a 0.69 Summit League ERA, ranking first.
Tori Kniesche ranks second in conference strikeouts with 64 and in ERA at 1.07.
