HANSEN RECOGNIZED BY SUMMIT LEAGUE

SIOUX FALLS – South Dakota State's Leah Hansen has been named the TicketSmarter Summit League Women's Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week, league officials announced Tuesday.
At the Drake Relays, Hansen repeated as the champion of the 10k after clocking a time of 34:49.31 to win the event. She is now the first athlete since 1995-1996 to win consecutive titles and is just the third to repeat in the women's 10k.
This is the first career outdoor athlete of the week honor for the Willmar, Minn. native.
The SDSU track and field teams head to Vermillion this weekend for the final competition before the outdoor conference meet next week.
