TEMPE, Ariz. – The season opener for the South Dakota State women's soccer team will extend into a second day as the Jackrabbits' matchup at Arizona State on Thursday was halted in the 48th minute of action due to inclement weather. The postponed match will restart at 12 p.m. CT (10 a.m. local time) at Sun Devil Soccer/Lacrosse Stadium.Â

The Jackrabbits took a 1-0 lead in the 16th minute behind a goal by
Maya Hansen. The tally was the 29th of Hansen's college career as
Kaycee Manding was credited for an assist.Â

With a strong wind at its back, SDSU got off to a 10-5 edge in shots in the opening 45 minutes and 4-0 advantage in corner kicks.
