BROOKINGS, S.D. – South Dakota State finished its matchup versus South Dakota with a 17-5 edge in shots but was unable to find the back of the net as the two sides played to a scoreless tie on Saturday, Sept. 24, at Fishback Soccer Park in The Summit League opener.Â

Â
South Dakota had just two shots find their way towards the net as SDSU goalkeeper
Hailee Fischer made saves on each shot that came her way in the second half.Â
Â
"We settled for some half chances when we could have created maybe a little bit more dangerous of chances," SDSU head coach
Brock Thompson said. "I think that that's part of the reason why we didn't score a goal. But overall, as far as the game we played, I thought we played pretty well. We've just got to be a little bit better in the final third."
