SDSU SOCCER MATCH VERSUS IDAHO CANCELED

BROOKINGS, S.D. — The South Dakota State soccer match on Sunday, Sept. 6, versus Idaho has been canceled due to persistent weather conditions in the region.
The Jackrabbits and Vandals played the first 45 minutes of regulation without interruption. SDSU freshman Stella Braddock scored a goal in the 37th minute on a header, courtesy of a corner kick from Deizha Lyn Jacinto, to put the Jacks ahead 1-0.
The game went into the halftime break and was delayed due to lightning strikes in the area. The contest was formally canceled as delays continued.
Sunday's match will not count on record for either team.
South Dakota State heads to Utah for two road matches before the start of Summit League play. The Jackrabbits will take on Weber State next at 8 p.m. CT on Thursday in Ogden.
