South Dakota State enters the Summit League postseason as the No. 6 seed and will take on Denver in the postseason for the third straight year. The Jackrabbits went 7-9 against Summit League opponents and have won five of their last eight matches.

KEY STORYLINES

South Dakota State has clinched a spot in the Summit League postseason for the third consecutive year. Prior to the 2021 season, SDSU had not been to the Summit League tournament since 2010.
Sylvie Zgonc averaged 3.57 kills per set and notched 225 total kills in conference action, which ranked fourth and second in Summit matches, respectively.
Sylvie Zgonc was named to the all-Summit first team and Summit League all-freshman team and was the Summit League Freshman of the Year, the conference released Saturday.
Sylvie Zgonc is the first Jackrabbit freshman in league history to claim Freshman of the Year honors.
Katie Van Egdom ranked seventh in the Summit League with 3.08 kills per set in her sophomore season.
Masa Scheierman ranks third in the Summit League with .44 aces per set. She is 24th in the league with 2.06 kills per set.
Led by 3.86 digs per set from libero Stella Winterfeld, SDSU is third in the league in team digs per set (15.48). Winterfeld ranks fifth in the league in that category.
Of the Jackrabbits' 32 dropped sets in conference matches, 17 have been lost by three points or fewer.
Raegen Reilly and Rylee Martin have shared the setter role in a variety of systems this season. Reilly averages 6.07 assists per set while Martin adds 3.97 assists per set.
Stella Winterfeld leads the Jackrabbits with 25 service aces on the season, followed by Raegen Reilly with 23 and Sylvie Zgonc with 22.
Sydni Schetnan leads the defense with 80 total blocks on the season. Elyse Winter is second with 69 blocks this year.
