AUSTIN, Texas — The 2023 Academic All-District® Women's Soccer Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, were released today by the organization. The Academic All-District Women's Soccer Teams recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom.Â

South Dakota State representatives on the Academic All-District Division I Women's Soccer Team include
Kayla Anderson,
Hayley Lindaman,
Kaycee Manding,
Laney Murdzek,
Avery Murdzek and
Jocelyn Tanner.Â
Â
All six Jackrabbits hold a cumulative grade-point average of at least 3.50. The six all received various athletic awards during the 2023 season.Â

Anderson was a Summit League All-Tournament selection as the Jackrabbits claimed the 2023 Summit League Championship. Lindaman was an All-Summit League honorable mention choice. Tanner – a Second Team Academic All-American in 2022 – earned TicketSmarter Summit League Defensive Peak Performer of the Week honors once during the 2023 slate.Â

Avery Murdzek was the 2023 Summit League Midfielder of the Year and a First Team All-Summit League honoree. Manding joined her on the Summit League First Team and
Laney Murdzek was a Second Team All-Summit League selection.

The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes soccer honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA. Academic All-District honorees are considered for advancement to the CSC Academic All-America ballot. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America honorees will be announced in early December.Â
