South Dakota State looks to extend its winning streak to a season-high five games on Thursday when the Jackrabbits visit Denver to take on the Pioneers at 8 p.m. CT in Hamilton Gymnasium. The matchup is the second between the two sides this season as SDSU claimed the first on Jan. 21, 76-61, in Brookings. Â
Â
The Jackrabbits and Pioneers played a tightly contested opening 30 minutes in their first meeting this season. The contest saw 14 lead changes and seven tie scores before SDSU took control. Tied at 52 with less than 10 minutes remaining, a
William Kyle III dunk and
Matt Mims 3-pointer put the Jacks up five. SDSU was up by six when the Jackrabbits went on a 13-4 run over the final five minutes to close out the 76-61 win in Frost Arena. SDSU is 21-6 all-time over Denver and has won the last 11 meetings.Â

Â
