WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. — Due to the threat of inclement weather throughout the day, Monday's baseball series finale between South Dakota State and Purdue has been canceled.
The Jackrabbits, 19-22 overall and 10-8 in The Summit League, return to league play by hosting Northern Colorado this weekend in a three-game series at Erv Huether Field. Friday's series opener is slated for a 3 p.m. first pitch, with games Saturday and Sunday set for 1 p.m. The Jackrabbit baseball senior class will be honored prior to Saturday's game.
SDSUÂ is currently in third place in the Summit League standings with six conference games to play. The top four teams qualify for the Summit League Baseball Championship May 24-27 in Fargo, North Dakota.
