South Dakota State University wrestler Cade King has been named a recipient of a $10,000 NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship.

A native of Waseca, Minnesota, King has been a fixture in the lineup for the Jackrabbits in the upper weights. He posted a 16-11 overall record in the 184-pound weight class during the 2022-23 season and qualified for the NCAA Division I Wrestling Championships for the first time.

King also has been honored for his work in the classroom as a business economics major, including earning recognition on the Academic All-Big 12 First Team for the third time during the 2022-23 season. In addition, King was named a Scholar All-American by the National Wrestling Coaches Association and earned a spot on the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team this past season.
The NCAA awards up to 126 postgraduate scholarships annually. The scholarships are awarded to student-athletes who excel academically and athletically and who are at least in their final year of intercollegiate athletics competition or have received an undergraduate degree.
