Ten South Dakota State student-athletes are furthering their baseball careers by competing in collegiate summer leagues.

The majority of the Jackrabbits are playing in the Northwoods League, including pitcher Alex Clemons and utility player Jordan Sagedahl, who are teammates on the Willmar Stingers. Other SDSU pitchers competing for Northwoods League teams are Eli Sundquist (Duluth Huskies), Will Kent (Rochester Honkers) and Blake Kunz (Lakeshore Chinooks).

Rounding out the list of Jackrabbits on Northwoods League rosters are infielders Matthew Werk (Mankato MoonDogs) and Luke Luskey (Minnesota Mud Puppies).

Elsewhere, first baseman Dawson Parry is a member of the Walla Walla Sweets in the West Coast League while outfielder Hunter Palmer is playing with the Fremont Moo of the Independence League. Catcher Josh McGuin is seeing action with the Fort McMurray Giants of the Western Canadian League.

South Dakota State completed the 2023 season with a 24-28 overall record. The Jackrabbits posted a 13-11 mark during Summit League regular season play and later advanced to the championship of the league's postseason tournament.
