Avery Murdzek scored goals in a pair of Jackrabbit victories and for her efforts was picked as the TicketSmarter Summit League Women's Soccer Offensive Peak Performer of the Week, the conference office announced Monday.Â

Murdzek put together her top offensive performances of the season in victories over Drake and Iowa State this past week. In the Thursday win at Drake, Murdzek scored the eventual game-winning goal in the 78th minute as she put the Jackrabbits up 2-1. On Sunday, Murdzek tied the game against Iowa State on a 71st minute goal. SDSU went on to win that match by a 2-1 score as well.

The Hudson, Wis., native produced four points on two goals. She also recorded six shots with three being on target, while she played a total of 161 minutes.

Murdzek claimed her first Summit League Player of the Week honors of her college career. It's the first weekly honors for the Jackrabbits this season.Â

South Dakota State hits the road for its next two matches. The Jackrabbits play at Utah State on Friday, then take on Idaho State in Pocatello on Sunday.
