South Dakota State finally returns to Frost Arena Thursday following five consecutive weeks on the road to start the season. SDSU (1-1 Summit) hosts Denver (2-0 Summit) Thursday night in the Jack's only contest of the week.

KEY STORYLINES

South Dakota State enters Thursday's match 1-1 in Summit League play following a sweep over St. Thomas and near-reverse sweep of Kansas City last week on the road.
Due to Frost Arena construction, South Dakota State plays at home for the first time since November 19, 2022. The squad practiced in Frost Arena Tuesday for the first time this season.
After the first weekend of Summit action, Katie Van Egdom ranks second in league play in kills per set (4.50). Sylvie Zgonc is fifth with 3.88 kills per set in conference.
Sylvie Zgonc and Katie Van Egdom are averaging 4.50 and 3.88 kills per set in league play, respectively. Entering the weekend, they are the only Summit League teammates with at least 3.5 Summit League kills per set each.
In Summit League play, Van Egdom ranks second in the conference in kills per set and Zgonc ranks fifth.
Raegen Reilly dished 11.0 kills per set during opening weekend, which ranks second in the league.
Raegen Reilly will be honored pre-match Thursday evening for surpassing 2,000 career assists last season and for setting SDSU's single-season assists record last season (1,307).
Libero Stella Winterfeld averaged 5.13 digs per set last weekend, the third-highest among the conference.
SDSU ranks second in the Summit League in assists per set (12.71) and third in points per set (17.0) and hitting percentage (.241).
Sylvie Zgonc (14) and Raegen Reilly (13) lead the team in service aces overall this year. Rylee Martin ranks third in 12 aces, including five at Kansas City last weekend.
Elyse Winter paces the defense with 32 total blocks on the season, followed by Sydni Schetnan with 28.
SDSU's most recent starting lineup featured three returners and four newcomers. The entire Jackrabbit roster has a blend of eight returners and seven newcomers. Of the newcomers, six are freshmen and one is a transfer.
