BROOKINGS, S.D. - The South Dakota State women's basketball team opened its season with a 77-44Â victory over St. Cloud State in exhibition action Wednesday night at First Bank & Trust Arena.
An 8-0 run over 1:10 in the opening quarter pushed the Jackrabbits out in front and the home team pulled away from there. SDSU shot 50 percent from the floor and held the Huskies to 30 percent shooting.
The Jackrabbits officially open the 2024-25 slate at Rice Monday night in Houston. SDSU's home opener at First Bank & Trust Arena is Friday, November 8 against Creighton.
