South Dakota State returns to Brookings to host St. Thomas and North Dakota State at First Bank & Trust Arena Thursday and Saturday, respectively.
The Jackrabbits enter the weekend at 22-0 with an 11-0 mark in the Summit League. With 22 wins, SDSU has set a new mark for single-season wins in the Dan Georgalas era (previous: 19 in 2021). SDSU has won 20 matches for the first time since winning 25 in 2007. The Jackrabbits could reach 13 wins in the Summit League season for just the second time in program history with two victories this week.
Coach Georgalas has emphasized to his team that, while they are in the driver's seat for a Summit League title, they need to "keep both hands on the wheel and not get distracted by what's in the review mirror or what's on the radio".
SDSU hosts St. Thomas Thursday night. The Tommies are having their best season of their young Division I era with a 14-10 overall mark and 6-6 Summit League record. UST went 1-1 last week with a win over Denver and a loss to Omaha.
North Dakota State enters the week 10-11 on the year and 6-6 in conference action. NDSU also went 1-1 last week with a 3-2 win at Oral Roberts and 3-0 loss in Denver. The Bison host South Dakota Thursday in Fargo.
