JACKRABBIT CLUB HAS ANOTHER RECORD YEAR
6/7/2024 9:51:00 AM | General
Jackrabbit Club members contributed a cash-record $2.7 million during fiscal year 2024, athletics officials at South Dakota State University announced Friday.
Â
"The record contributions to the Jackrabbit Club are another reflection of how passionate our fans are about Jackrabbit Athletics," SDSU Director of Athletics Justin Sell said. "Our fans have continued to raise the bar and our student-athletes have responded by competing for and winning championships while continuing to excel in the classroom."
Â
The cash total of $2,785,755 represents a 24 percent increase from the previous year, with donations increasing by more than $1 million over the past three years. More than 230 donors out of a total of about 2,500 moved up a level of giving in FY24.
Â
"We are so thankful and appreciative to our generous donors for their incredible support we receive annually and for making 2024 a record-breaking year," Senior Associate Athletic Director Nathan Christensen said." It is so important that we focus on enhancing the student-athlete experience through supporting the Jackrabbit Club and we are so grateful for all the donors that support our student-athletes, coaches and programs. We are fortunate to have a dedicated and committed Jackrabbit Club staff who are working daily on behalf of the Jackrabbits."
Â
Annual membership in the Jackrabbit Club remains the most fundamental way to support SDSU student-athletes, with the annual fund supporting SDSU Athletics' $4.5 million scholarship bill. Each dollar given to the Jackrabbit Club is a direct investment in Jackrabbit student-athletes.
Â
In addition to supporting student-athlete scholarships, Jackrabbit Club members enjoy a host of great benefits throughout the athletics calendar. Benefits include priority parking and seating at Jackrabbit home games, inside access to their favorite SDSU programs, invitations to exclusive events, discounts at select local businesses, and more.
