CROSS COUNTRY RELEASES 2024 SCHEDULE

BROOKINGS, S.D. — South Dakota State's cross country team released its 2024 schedule Monday morning. South Dakota State's cross country team released its 2024 schedule Monday morning.
The Jackrabbits will compete in eight meets across the season, including the Summit League Championship and the NCAA Midwest Regional Championship.
SDSU opens the season on Aug. 30 at the University of South Dakota for the USD Preview Meet in Vermillion, S.D., before heading to Sioux Falls, S.D. to compete in the Augustana Twilight on Sept. 6. After a week off, the Jacks will head to Falcon Heights, Minn. for a Power Five challenge at the Roy Griak Invitational, hosted by the University of Minnesota on Sept. 20.
After spending some time on the road, South Dakota State will host the SDSU Classic at the Edgebrook Golf Course in Brookings, S.D., on Oct. 4. The team will split in two on Oct. 19 for its final regular season meet. Half of the team will head to Verona, Wis. for the Wisconsin Pre Nationals meet, hosted by the University of Wisconsin, while the other half of the team will head to La Crosse, Wis. for the Jim Drews Invitational, hosted by the University of Wisconsin La Crosse.
The Summit League Championships meet will be held on Nov. 2, hosted by USD. The men's team will be on the hunt for their ninth-consecutive Summit League Championship title, while the women's team will look to take their fourth championship title after finishing runner-up the past two years.
The Jacks will compete in their last guaranteed meet at the NCAA Midwest Regional Championship in Peoria, Ill. The top two teams and first four finishers at each NCAA Regional meet will progress to the NCAA Championships in Verona, Wis. on Nov. 23.
