SIOUX FALLS, S.D. — South Dakota State's Meghan Ford is named the Summit League's Women's Cross Country Peak Performer of the Week as announced by the conference Wednesday afternoon.
Ford receives this honor following a second-place finish in her Jackrabbit debut at the Augustana Twilight meet last Friday evening. The junior crossed the line 27 seconds behind the first-place finisher from the University of Nebraska, clocking a time of 16:47.9 for a new personal record.
Ford's performance assisted the Jackrabbits to a second-place team finish out of 20 total teams.
UP NEXT: SDSU will take the week off before traveling to the Roy Griak Invitational at the University of Minnesota on Sept. 20.
