BROOKINGS, S.D. - South Dakota state volleyball has added Katelyn Van Kirk to its roster beginning with the spring 2025 semester.
Van Kirk, a transfer from Boise State, joins the Jackrabbits with three seasons of eligibility after one year with the Broncos. She appeared in 10 matches at Boise State this fall as the squad went 19-10 on the season.
Van Kirk is a native of Bozeman, Montana, where she was a four-year starter at Manhattan Christian High School. The outside hitter was a four-time all-state and first-team all-conference honoree and three-time team captain. She helped Manhattan Christian to a four-year unbeaten streak in conference play (40-0), four straight league titles and three consecutive Montana State Class C Championships.
Van Kirk also played basketball at Manhattan Christian and was a three-time all-conference performer.
Van Kirk is the daughter of Ken and Holly, who both played basketball at Boise State. Her sister, Kiersten, is a current member of the Boise State volleyball team. Katelyn plans to major in accounting at South Dakota State.
