For the second year in a row, the Oct. 25 Dakota Marker football game between South Dakota State and North Dakota State will be played before a national television audience in prime time, officials from the Missouri Valley Football Conference and ESPN announced Monday.
As a result of the football game being played at night, the SDSU-Denver volleyball match that day will begin at 1 p.m. inside First Bank & Trust Arena.
Kickoff for the football game has been set for 7 p.m. at Dana J. Dykhouse Stadium and will be televised on either ESPN2 or ESPNU. A determination of the exact broadcast channel will be made following this weekend's games.
The Dakota Marker game is sold out, but fans still seeking tickets can purchase verified resale tickets through Seat Geek. Tailgate lots are slated to open at 2 p.m.
NDSU and SDSU enter the week atop the Football Championship Subdivision polls with respective 6-0 records. The top-ranked Bison are scheduled to play Saturday at Indiana State, while the second-ranked Jackrabbits travel to Murray State.
The Dakota Marker was established as a traveling trophy when both programs moved to the FCS ranks in 2004. NDSU gained an 11-10 advantage in the series with a 13-9 victory last season at the Fargodome.
