South Dakota State alum
Paige Meyer has signed a contract to continue her basketball career overseas with the Essex Rebels, a team that plays in the premier professional league in the United Kingdom.
Meyer, a 2025 graduate, is set for her first professional opportunity following a standout career at South Dakota State from 2021-25. Meyer scored more than 1,400 career points and tallied 493 assists at a Jackrabbit, which is third all-time at SDSU and ranks first in the program's Division I era. Her 179 assists as a senior is the most in a single season in program history. Meyer also shot .433 from the 3-point line in her career, which is the best career mark ever for the Jackrabbits.
Meyer was a four-time all-Summit League selection and two-time Summit League Tournament MVP. She helped the Jackrabbits reach three consecutive NCAA Tournaments.
The Essex Rebels are based in Essex County in southeast England, located between London and the North Sea. They play in the Super League Basketball. Their season officially kicks off on October 4.
