South Dakota State travels back to North Dakota to take on the Bison in Fargo on Wednesday. The Summit League matchup between SDSU and NDSU is slated for 7 p.m. in the Scheels Center.

The Jackrabbits hit the hardwoord for the first time in nearly a week. SDSU's last time out saw the Jacks defeat Denver, 87-79, in Brookings on Jan. 8. The Jacks trailed by seven midway through the second half before working into the deficit. An eight-point scoring run helped SDSU overtake Denver, 73-67, and eventually close out the home victory over the Pioneers.

SDSU is off to a 2-1 start in Summit League play (9-9 overall). The Jackrabbits' other win came in an 84-69 home contest against Omaha on New Year's Day. The Jacks fell at North Dakota on Jan. 3, 90-87, despite holding a lead with less than a minute remaining in overtime.

Five Jackrabbits are averaging double digits in scoring through three conference games. They include Joe Sayler (19.3), Damon Wilkinson (18.0), Jaden Jackson (15.0), Matthew Mors (11.0) and Kalen Garry (10.0). Wilkinson is averaging 12 rebounds per game and is followed by Jackson with a 7.7 per contest mark. Garry is averaging five assists per game. SDSU's 86 points per game in league action is second to St. Thomas' 91 points. The Jacks are holding opponents to a league-best 42% field goal percentage and have the highest rebound margin of 8.0.

North Dakota State enters Wednesday's matchup at 14-5 overall and 4-0 in The Summit League. The Bison had a buzzer-beating 78-76 victory at Omaha on Saturday to extend their active win streak to four. Four Bison are averaging double digits in league action including Treyson Anderson (17.8), Trevian Carson (14.5), Damari Wheeler-Thomas (13.5) and Markhi Strickland (11.3). Among teams in Summit play, NDSU leads the conference in scoring defense (71.8). The Bison are 8-0 at home this season.

SDSU trails in the all-time series with NDSU holding a 125-113 edge. Both teams have won on the opposing foe's home floor each of the last two seasons. The meeting will serve as Bryan Petersen's first as head coach, though SDSU went 9-5 against NDSU in his time as an assistant.
