NINE JACKRABBITS EARN ALL-LEAGUE HONORS

SIOUX FALLS — Led by seniors Jenna Currier and Braxton McGrath, nine South Dakota State swimmers — five women and four men — were recognized Wednesday as all-Summit League performers based on recording top-three finishes at the recently completed league championships.
A native of Denison, Iowa, Currier earned all-league honors in three events. Individually, she placed second in the 100-yard butterfly, while also swimming on the Jackrabbits' third-place 400 freestyle and 400 medley relays. Her time of 54.83 seconds in the 100 butterfly finals broke her own school record.
Currier teamed with Hannah Miller, Gigi Hioki and Sara Juez for a school-record time of 3 minutes, 24.46 seconds en route to a third-place finish in the 400 freestyle relay. The trio of Currier, Hioki and Miller, along with Lily Esmas, placed third in the 400 medley relay to complete the Jackrabbit women's all-Summit League performances.
McGrath, a native of Amana, Iowa, swam his way to all-league honors in both butterfly events and also was a part of the Jackrabbits' record-setting and third-place 400 medley relay. He finished as runner-up with the 200 butterfly with a school-record mark of 1:47.98 and placed third in the 100 butterfly with another SDSU standard of 47.70 seconds.
McGrath also combined with Nik Keuser, Zavier Kranz and Colby Williams to claim a bronze medal in the 400 medley with an SDSU-record time of 3:14.43.
In addition, Keuser and Kranz earned individual all-league awards. Keuser was runner-up in the 100 breaststroke with a school-record time of 53.38 seconds, while Kranz placed third in the 100 freestyle with a time of 44.32 seconds that ranks second in program history.
Both Jackrabbit squads finished fourth in the team standings at the 2026 Summit League Swimming and Diving Championships.
