The South Dakota State baseball team has been assigned to the Lincoln Regional and will face host and No. 13 national seed Nebraska in the opening round of the 2026 NCAA Division I Baseball Tournament Friday afternoon.
The Jackrabbits, 24-31 overall, will be making their second postseason appearance at the Division I level, the other coming in 2013. SDSUÂ received the Summit League's automatic bid after winning the league tournament this past weekend in Minneapolis, compiling a 3-1 record that included a pair of victories over regular season champion Oral Roberts.
Game time for the regional opener is set for 3 p.m. at Hawks Field at Haymarket Park in downtown Lincoln, Nebraska. The game will be available for viewing through the ESPN+ streaming platform.
Nebraska enters the tournament with a 42-15 record. The Cornhuskers and Jackrabbits played once during the regular season, with Nebraska claiming a 5-4 victory on its home field on March 4.
No. 3 seed Arizona State (37-19) and second-seeded Ole Miss (36-21) will meet in Friday's other first-round matchup at 7 p.m. The regionals follow a double-elimination format.
A limited number of tickets for the Lincoln Regional will go on sale to the general public at 3 p.m. Tuesday.
