ATLANTA - The South Dakota State women's basketball team was recognized by the Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) as the organization announced its 2025-26 Academic Top 25 Team Honor Roll Tuesday. The Jackrabbits are ranked ninth in NCAA Division I with a 3.762 team GPA.
Since the Jackrabbits moved to Division I for the 2004-05 season, SDSU has been ranked in the WBCA Academic Top 25 19 times. The Jacks' 3.762 GPA is the team's second-highest on Division I record, second only to 2022, when SDSU had the top GPA in the country (3.837).
The WBCA Academic Top 25 recognizes college women's basketball teams across the nation in their respective divisions that carry the highest combined GPAs inclusive of all student-athletes on their rosters for the entire season.
