NORMAL, Ill. - The South Dakota State women's golf team sits in 10th place after 36 holes at the Redbird Invitational.
The Jackrabbits have a +35 team scorecard through two rounds, which were played Sunday at Weibring Golf Club. They sit five shots behind Indiana State at +30 and 31 shots behind the leaders, St. Thomas, who sit at +4 on the day.Â
Olivia Braun and Rylan Horning lead the way for the Jacks, both sitting at +8 on the day. Braun started slow, firing off a 78 (+6) in her first round before finding her way during the second round with a 74 (+2). Horning started off hot, getting three birdies in her first four holes and finishing her first round with a 73 (+1). She turned around and shot a 79 (+7) in her second round, which put her at +8 on the day, tied for 29th overall in the field.Â
Riko Danjo follows the two freshmen up as she ends the day with a +9 overall, tied for 36th. She was another Jackrabbit who had a slow start, shooting a 79 (+7) in the first round before coming back with a 74 (+2) in the second.Â
Hannah Boraas sits at +11 on the day after shooting a 76 (+4) and a 79 (+7). She is tied for 47th.Â
Molly O'Hara rounds out the scoring Jackrabbits, sitting at +14 on the day. She shot an 80 (+8) and a 78 (+6) and is tied for 54th.
Brynn Balliet is competing as an individual. She had a tough first round, shooting an 86 (+14), but got back on her feet and shot a 77 (+5) in the second round. She is tied for 64th.Â
