2026 Augie Twilight Results

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Four runners finished in the top six as the South Dakota State men's cross country team won the Augustana Twilight for the second consecutive season, while the women placed second, both in a 5K meet Saturday at Yankton Trail Park in Sioux Falls.

"We had some nice surprises tonight. All in all, a reasonable start to the season. We've got some work to do and we will embark on that journey as we head towards the Greeno/Dirksen Invitational in a couple of weeks."

MEN'S RACE
For the second straight year, Jackson Dutcher (14:25.3) finished runner-up in the event. Will Lohr (14:31.3) led a trio of consecutive finishers, placing fourth, followed by Cashton Johnson (14:38.7) in fifth and Cade Sanvik (14:47.8) in sixth.

Luke Johnson (15:08.4) placed 13^th while Tate Grabow (15:11.6) was right behind him in 14^th. In his first collegiate race, Griffin Smith (15:15.3) finished in the top 20 (19^th place)

WOMEN'S RACE
On the women's side, freshman Faith Wiese (17:21.1) paced the Jacks, crossing the line in third place.

Nora Peterson (17:48.2) and Kelsey Schmidt (18:01.9) finished in 12^th and 13^th respectively, while Ella Boekelheide (18:07.2, 16th) and Nicole Swanson (18:08.9, 19^th) also had top 20 placements.
