2020-21: Earned team's Most Improved Wrestler award after posting a 17-6 overall record (6-2 in duals) and earning a berth in the NCAA Division I Wrestling Championships ... opened the season by beating ranked wrestlers Matt Schmitt (Missouri) and Devan Turner (Oregon State) in double-dual action (1/3) ... began eight-match winning streak with a 9-6 decision over Jacob Svihel of Wyoming at Air Force Multi (1/17) ... placed fifth at the Big 12 Wrestling Championship with a 3-2 record at 133 pounds (3/6-7) ... also went 3-2 at the NCAA Championships, opening competition with a 4-2, overtime decision against Chance Rich of CSU Bakersfield (3/18)
2019-20: Held the starting spot at 133 pounds throughout the season ... finished with a 15-16 overall record, including an 8-10 mark in duals ... went 3-1 en route to a runner-up finish at the Warren Williamson/Daktronics Open (11/17) ... first career dual win was a 10-0 major decision over Minnesota's Brent Jones (12/20) ... rallied for an 11-9 decision over fifth-seeded Todd Small of Iowa State in the opening round of the Big 12 Wrestling Championship, recording a takedown and 4-point near-fall in the closing seconds (3/7)
2018-19: Put together a solid redshirt season with the Jackrabbits, compiling a 20-8 record in open tournaments … shared titles at Buena Vista Open (12/1) and Ridgewater Open (1/12) … opened collegiate competition with fifth-place finish at Warren Williamson/Daktronics Open (11/4) … recorded third-place finish at Bison Open with 4-1 record (11/10) … final competition of the season resulted with a fifth-place effort at the Sioux City Edmonds Open as he turned in a 5-1 record that included three wins by fall and two by major decision (2/2)
BEFORE SDSU: Posted top-four finishes at the Class 3A Iowa State Wrestling Tournament each of his four seasons at Johnston High School … finished as school’s career wins leader after compiling a 182-22 overall record … notched third-place finishes at 106 pounds in 2015, 126 pounds in 2017 and 132 pounds in 2018 … placed fourth in the 120-pound weight class as a sophomore … also earned All-America honors at the Fargo Nationals on the club circuit … also competed in football
