2017: Saw most of his action as the team’s designated hitter ... led squad with 10 stolen bases and ranked second with five home runs ... tallied 10 multi-hit games ... hit first home run of the season in second game of weekend versus Central Connecticut State (2/24) ... was the lone Jackrabbit with a multi-homer game during the season as he connected twice and drove in three runs in losing effort at Minnesota (3/7) ... posted second straight two-hit game a day later against Minnesota-Crookston, going 2-for-4 with a run scored (3/8) ... hit safely in each of the team’s first six Summit League games, including a 2-for-3, two-RBI, three-run performance in series finale at Omaha (3/19) ... homered twice in series at Western Illinois, ending the three-game set by going 3-for-5 with two RBI and two runs scored in second game of doubleheader (4/15) ... broke out of a slump with back-to-back three-hit games at Fort Wayne (5/12-13)
2016: Served as the team’s primary second baseman for much of the 2016 season ... started 38 games ... ranked second on the team with 12 stolen bases ... began season with a career-best seven-game hitting streak that included three consecutive multi-hit games ... drove in pair of runs and stole a base in season opener versus Florida Atlantic (2/19) ... went 3-for-4 with a double and steal in second game of weekend against Florida Atlantic (2/21) ... was 2-for-4 with a double and two runs scored in finale against Mississippi State (2/21) ... tallied two hits and two stolen bases at UC Davis (3/9) ... drove in career-high three runs in games against Northern Colorado (3/13) and first game of doubleheader against Omaha (4/9) ... homered in each of the first two games of three-game home series against North Dakota State, finishing the weekend 5-for-10 at the plate with five runs scored and four runs batted in (4/15-17) ... continued his hot hitting the next weekend as he compiled .571 average (8-for-14) with three runs batted in at Omaha (4/22-24) ... collected two hits in each of the first two games, then posted a career-best four hits in five at-bats with a home run in series finale ... walked three times and scored twice in win over Western Illinois (4/30)
2015: Played in 29 games with 11 starts ... went 1-for-2 at the plate in first career start, at Austin Peay (2/14) ... collected three hits in four at-bats, adding an RBI and run scored in doubleheader sweep at Southern (La.) (3/7) ... came across to score three times at Omaha (3/15) ... posted consecutive 2-for-2 games against Dakota Wesleyan (4/1) and Oral Roberts (4/4) ... delivered key pinch hit versus Oral Roberts, a game SDSU won in extra innings
BEFORE SDSU: Earned first-team all-state honors after helping lead Southeast Polk High School to the 4A state title during his senior season in 2014 ... batted .392 with 17 doubles, eight triples and a home run for a .643 slugging percentage ... also scored 49 runs, drove in 30 runs and stole 30 bases ... was named to all-division and all-district squads as a junior, when he hit .333 with team highs of four home runs and 21 stolen bases while batting out of the leadoff spot ... played for the Perfect Game Iowa Select Black club team in 2013, leading the squad in batting average (.343), slugging percentage (.500) and on-base percentage (.512) ... also lettered in football ... honored for work in the classroom as a member of the National Honor Society and as a Lamp of Knowledge Award recipient ... served as Student Council vice president and president of Student Activities Leadership Team ... also active with National Council on Youth Leadership
