Ryley Kozisek joined the South Dakota State baseball staff as a volunteer assistant coach in the fall of 2023.

Kozisek most recently served as an assistant coach at Central College in Pella, Iowa, during the 2022 and 2023 seasons. His primary responsibilities included serving as the team’s hitting coach and working with the squad’s infielders.

A 2021 graduate of the University of Iowa, Kozisek spent two seasons as a student manager for the Hawkeyes under coach Rick Heller while completing his degree in sports and recreation management. He also spent two seasons as a student assistant coach at North Iowa Area Community College.

Kozisek also coached at the high school level, leading Garner-Hayfield High School to a 21-5 record in 2021, en route to being named the Top of Iowa Conference West Coach of the Year. He previously coached the junior varsity in 2020 and the freshman team during the 2018 and 2019 campaigns.
