Tim Lowe began working as the Head Equipment Manager at South Dakota State University in the spring of 2019 after spending the previous five years at Drake University.Â

In his five years at Drake University, Lowe was an assistant equipment manager from 2014-2019, where he was in charge of the day-to-day operations of football, softball, and women’s rowing. His duties included purchasing, fitting, storing, issuing, collecting, and maintenance of all athletic apparel and equipment. In 2018, Lowe also helped organize the logistics for Drake Football’s equipment transportation and game management for the first ever American football game played in Beijing, China.

Prior to joining the Bulldogs in a full-time role, Lowe was an equipment manager intern for the spring semester in 2014 at Drake. Lowe assisted with day-to-day operations for all 18 Division I varsity sports. He also assisted with the initial input and installation of all equipment, apparel, vendor and serial number information in the FR TRAC inventory program.

Lowe graduated from Wayne State College with a Bachelor of Science degree in sport management in 2014 and has been Athletic Equipment Manager Certified since 2016. Lowe and his wife, Ellen, reside in Brookings and have a daughter, Claire, and son, Isaac.
