2022-23: Qualified for the A final in 100 backstroke at Summit League Championships, placing sixth (:49.66) as the Jackrabbits placed four swimmers in the top 11 … also finished ninth in 200 backstroke (1:49.30) and 24th in 200 individual medley (1:57.30) at league championships … turned in season-best time of 1:56.20 in the 200 IM in conference prelims
2021-22: Placed ninth in the 100-yard backstroke at the Summit League Championships ... also competed in the 200 individual medley and the 400 medley relay at league meet ... claimed the 200 backstroke title in triangular at Iowa Central and versus Barton (Kan.) ... finished third in the 100 backstroke at both the Coyote Extravaganza and Augustana Invitational ... posted the top time in the prelims of the 200 backstroke at the Augustana Invitational, then clocked a runner-up finish in the finals ... swam the backstroke leg of winning 400 medley relay at the Coyote Invite and also was a member of the victorious 400 freestyle relay
2020-21: Earned all-Summit League honors after finishing third in both the 100 backstroke (:49.98) and 200 backstroke at the league championships (4/15-17) … also placed ninth in the 200 individual medley (1:55.01) at league meet … claimed the 100 backstroke in home dual versus Iowa Central and the 200 back in home meet against South Dakota to lead a Jackrabbit sweep of the top three spots
BEFORE SDSU: Earned all-state and was a state medalist in 2018 and 2019 … holds nine school records and two pool records at Park Rapids Area High School … prep team finished top-10 at state and had two undefeated seasons during Benson’s tenure … three-time state participant (2017, 2018, 2019) … two-time section champion (2018, 2019) and section runner up (2017, 2018) … 12-time section medalist (2017-2019) … named team’s most improved in 2016-17 season … has been a section participant and letter winner every year since 2015 … earned a swimmer of the week award in 2014 and twice named swimmer of the meet from 2014-2015 … earned most points on the team in 2018 and 2019 … summer state participant and four-time medalist … named to ‘A’ Honor Roll five times
