Competed at the high school level for Southeast Polk High School and was a three-time individual state qualifier ... earned first individual trip to state as a freshman in the 500 freestyle, then was part of the state-qualifying 200 and 400 freestyle relays as a sophomore .... returned to the state meet on an individual basis in the 200 and 500 freestyle events as a junior and senior, placing seventh in the 500 and 11th in the 200 in 2024 ... also competed extensively at the club level .... was a member of a state champion 400 medley relay and placed third individually in the 1,500 freestyle at the 2022 Iowa Long Course Championships ... also qualified for USA Swimming Central Zones in 2022 and placed 18th in the 1,000-yard freestyle at the 2025 Speedo Sectionals as a member of the Waukee Waves
