Maggan Schultz joined the South Dakota State University athletic department in March 2017 and currently serves as the Assistant Athletic Director of Marketing after spending one year as a graduate assistant. She oversees the marketing and promotional activities for SDSU athletic events, in-game entertainment, and brand awareness while managing the marketing budget, student group, and kids club.
In her prior role as a graduate assistant in the Jackrabbit Ticket Office, Schultz worked closely with the marketing department on revenue generation concepts. In the spring of 2018, Schultz was an event specialist intern for the development office of Jackrabbit Athletics. She was the event coordinator for the record-setting 2018 Jackrabbit Athletic Scholarship Auction that raised $1.1 million.Â
Prior to joining SDSU, Schultz worked with the Brookings Blizzard as the director of business and game operations and the Minnesota Swarm as an account executive. She also worked with the Brookings Blizzard and the Sioux Falls Canaries throughout her undergraduate degree.Â
Originally from Baltic, South Dakota, Schultz graduated from SDSU with a bachelor's degree in sport, recreation, and park management and again in 2019 with a master's degree in sport and recreation administration.
