GREEN BAY, Wis. -- Alexandra Hoffman and Mallory Onisk won event titles, but Wisconsin-Green Bay won the dual, defeating the Jackrabbit women's swimming and diving team by a 140-94 count Saturday afternoon.
Hoffman, a sophomore from Eureka, claimed the 100-yard backstroke in 1 minute, 0.84 seconds, and also posted a season-best time of 25.22 seconds in the 50 freestyle to place second.
A junior from Bear, Del., Onisk won the 100 butterfly in 59.54 seconds. She also turned in a second-place finish in the 400 individual medley, clocking a season-best time of 4:45.18.
Hoffman and Onisk also were part of the Jackrabbits' 200 freestyle relay team, which, along, with Rachel Musser and Christina Gerometta, placed second overall in a season-best time of 1:41.85. Gerometta posted a runner-up finish in the 500 freestyle with a time of 5:25.48 earlier in the meet.
Other individual runner-up performances were turned in by Sara Olenich in the 100 freestyle, 57.33 seconds; Emily Tschetter in the 100 breaststroke with a season-best time of 1:10.12, and Sasha Porter in 1-meter diving, 196.55 points.
SDSU, 0-6 in duals this season, will be off from competition until its winter training trip in early January.
