OMAHA, Neb. --The South Dakota State University women's tennis team was upended by Creighton University Friday night, 7-0, at the Hanscom Tennis Center in Omaha, Neb.
Creighton swept both the doubles and singles portions of the match to defeat the Jacks.
In doubles action, Kate Wylie and Caitlin Brannen fell to Nicole Thurston and Lindsey Erickson, 8-3, at No. 2 doubles.
In singles play, Kristine Hagedorn dropped a hard fought match to Thurston at No. 2 singles. Hagedorn was upended by Thurston, 6-2, 6-3. Freshman Carrie Jansen also dropped her match at the No. 6 spot to Cassie Yoneshige, 6-3, 6-2.
South Dakota State, 2-4, will resume action tomorrow against Western Illinois in Omaha. Start time is set for 1:30 p.m.
