The Jackrabbits ended a seven-game losing streak, improving to 2-9 on the season.
Scott Hood opened the scoring for the Jackrabbits in the second inning with a double to right center to score Eric Cain. After John Lee reached on an error, Turner plated both Hood and Lee with his first triple of the game, to right center.
SDSU built the lead to 5-0 in the third inning. With one out, Tony Martin homered off reliever Cody Maddox. Lee drove home the second run of the frame with a base hit, scoring Cain.
The Jackrabbits put the game away with two runs in each of the sixth and seventh innings. Turner's triple down the right-field line in the seventh inning scored Lee, and Turner later crossed home plate following a single by leadoff hitter Beau Hanowski.
Kirby Morsching earned the victory in relief for the Jackrabbits after pitching the final 4 1/3 innings. The senior right-hander from
Turner, Cain, Martin and Hood all had two hits apiece as part of the Jackrabbits' 12-hit attack.
