SDSU head coach Scott Nagy
"We kicked tail on the boards, our kids
were focused. I even mentioned to (assistant coach) Troy
(Larson) before the game, when we had our good teams, I loved coming to
places like this because I knew we'd kick people's tails and the fans
would be leaving early. There is no better feeling."
"When we went up two at half I knew (NDSU) was in trouble."
"The fans here got a good look at what the future's gonna be like."
SDSU Freshnam Steve Holdren
"It's been a long season, it's been
different, it's been tough at times. To go out
this way means a lot to our seniors because it's their last game. To
send them out with a win over a rival team feels good."
SDSU Sophomore Joe Green
"Who wins at the end of the season? Not many people do. We're really
excited about that. We just wanted to get back to playing Jacks
basketball."
"The last couple games, he's really got into it," Green said of Nagy. "We've played good as a team, and it gets him pretty excited when we're on that kind of a roll."
NDSU Senior Adam Dobmeier
On the fast start to the game...
“We were ready to go for this game. We had a lot of energy in the locker room, the fans were into it, but they (SDSU) made their run and we had some foul trouble. Those things hurt us tonight, but you have to overcome those things.”
On the conclusion of the season...
“We ended up 16-12 which is a pretty good season I thought considering all the things we went through at the beginning of the season.”
NDSU head coach Tim Miles
On the conclusion of the season...
“We didn't give our best effort. We ended on a sour note and that is disappointing, especially for our seniors.”
On the play of the seniors...
“Those four seniors
really did an outstanding job of staying together. They could have
fallen apart, but they stuck together and put together an 11-game
winning streak which is one of the longest in school history.”
